Seit 126 Jahren glauben wir an die Zukunft des Automobils – kein Autohaus weltweit setzt länger auf den Stern als S&G. Dies ist für uns Auszeichnung und Verpflichtung zugleich. Gegründet wurde S&G im Jahre 1898, als Ernst Schoemperlen in Karlsruhe die Automobil-Centrale ins Leben rief. 1905 lernte der Firmengründer seinen späteren Partner Walter Gast beim Beheben einer Panne kennen. Mit ihm als Teilhaber wurde 1910 die Firma in Schoemperlen und Gast umbenannt. 1998, zum 100-jährigen Jubiläum, erfolgte die Umwandlung in die S&G Automobil AG. 1990 wurde die Tochtergesellschaft S&G Automobilgesellschaft mbH Halle/Merseburg gegründet, der heutige größte Mercedes-Benz Vertreter in Sachsen-Anhalt. Rund 1.400 Mitarbeiter, darunter knapp 300 Auszubildende, sorgen an 10 Standorten in Baden-Württemberg und 7 Standorten in Sachsen-Anhalt dafür, dass wir Tag für Tag unser Versprechen einlösen: „Sie fahren gut mit S&G“.
